Let me tell you a little about
the anti-cruelty mail out.
It comes out once a week and is limited to a maximum of five protest
letters against cruelty. The letters cover all types of cruelty to animals
in any country. One day you may be writing to a politician, the next week
to a director of unethical company, the week after to your local newspaper
with a letter expressing your concerns. Sometimes, there may also be some
petitions against a particular cruelty.
The aim of the weekly email is to highlight and campaign against cruelty
to sensitive species which share our planet. These poor defenceless souls
have no voice and way of defending themselves against the terror and
torture humanity inflicts on them, day in, day out. The torture of a
voiceless and innocent soul is like the torture of a physically, or
mentally, handicapped human being. (Neither can defend themselves). Both
types of cruelty are utterly unforgivable.
Cruelty is indivisible, whether inflicted on non-human sensitive species
or human beings. The former includes the horrors of vivisection, factory
farming, live exports and hunting.
By campaigning against violence against all species, you are asking
society not to allow individuals to take sick pleasure in torturing our
fellow sensitive species. You are also helping to prevent crime as there
is now very strong evidence of a link between animal abuse and human
abuse. If someone is capable of enjoying the torture of one sensitive
species, he or she will usually enjoy torturing another sensitive species,
e.g human species. Proof of this can be seen in the fact that that many
hunters in the UK have attacked peaceful anti-cruelty campaigners. This
shows that the hunters' violence is indiscriminate.
Thank you very much indeed for participating in the weekly email and for
your help to eliminate cruelty. I am convinced that we will all see a day
in which all members of sensitive species kingdom, ourselves and our
smaller brothers and sisters, will live in peace and tranquility.
