About the Author : The Kalahari Raptor Center
is run by Beverley Pervan and Chris Mercer. Now in our fifties, we
retired from business in order to devote the rest of our lives to
preserving wilderness and caring for wildlife. Our hobbies are
scuba diving and exploring the out of the way wilderness areas in
Southern Africa. Beverley was born in Durban, South Africa, has
sailed across the Atlantic from Cape Town in a small sailboat and
spent some years in the United States. Chris was born in Zimbabwe
and spent his childhood and breaks from working life in places like
the Zambesi Valley, Gorongosa and the African shores of the Indian
Ocean. |
